Starting with VType

1. Choose English or Chinese + English in setup. Download the model you want.
2. Enable VType’s keyboard in Android Settings, then choose it in your writing app.
3. Speak, stop, review your words and choose Insert. You send the message yourself.

Make it yours

Tap Hide keys in the VType keyboard to leave voice and review controls visible. Show keys brings typing back. Colour choices are in Settings → Appearance.

Offline text editing is optional. Enable it in Settings, download its separate model and tap Polish text for a preview. Keep the original or use the edit after checking it.

Something went wrong?

Check microphone permission, the selected speech model and its download status. For recognition mistakes, try the model matching your spoken language and edit the draft before inserting.

For bug reports, include your device model, Android version, VType version and the steps that caused the problem. Do not send private audio or messages.

Models and licences

In VType, open Settings → About to review the bundled software notices. Review the licence and download information for each optional model before downloading it.

Purchases

VType is not on sale yet. Its planned one-time price is US$6.99, with local prices set through the store. Once available, Google Play will handle Android checkout and store refund requests. This page does not take payments.
